It's a new year! (as of 4 months ago....erm...5 months ago)

Well, I hadn't really realized that I'd not posted here since NOVEMBER. I even went through my photos way back in January and set a bunch aside, labeling the folder something like, "blog pics for jan". Yep, I got real far on that one. :p

Anyhow, I think I'll do just a few photos here, to try to highlight stuff from life the past few months. Due to time and long day today, this'll be a very short post, but at least it's a bit. :)

Yes, there are tarantulas here in Laredo. I was brave and picked this one up. And yes, I was scared. Tarantulas are not venomous in the fact that they'll hurt you, but yeah it'd hurt if they did bite you. They're just rarely aggressive.

I have been visiting San Antonio a lot, due to meeting an amazing man up there....I took this picture on our 2nd date. It's Guadalupe River State Park, north of SA.
Here is the aforementioned man, Will. :)  We've been together about four and a half months now. This picture was our trip to the Gulf Coast, which was amazing (the trip, and the Coast itself; I got 3 life birds).

Got to go home for Christmas! It was absolutely wonderful.

Also I got to be a bridesmaid in my dear friend Lydia's wedding in North Carolina around New Year's!

Will and I went to Houston for Valentine's Day, and I fell in love with the pine trees there.

I moved into an apartment, which I absolutely love. I had a lot of cleaning up to do.

But my amazing and caring parents visited Laredo, and while they were here, they did a LOT of work on my apartment. Same room as previous picture. :)

One of the birds I love here in Laredo are the Green Parakeets, who roost downtown.

I had a butterfly kids' program at work, which went really well.

I also saw my first Golden-cheeked Warbler up near San Antonio last month!

Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks up in San Antonio. I love these dudes.

I had a very very successful Kids' Fossils program last Saturday. luckily the plaster washed out of my work shorts!

Here I am talking to the kids about fossils.
